The Plasm network is a Polkadot compatible scaling public blockchain that is designed for deploying and executing scalable smart contracts. It brings layer 2 capabilities to the Polkadot networks to allow faster transactions and supports optimistic virtual machines. You can read more about the Plasm Network here.
You can now use OnFinality to deploy nodes in minutes to the Plasm network with only a few clicks. Lets get started
Login to OnFinality
Once you're in, go to to the Nodes List page and click on Create New up in the top right of your screen.
Select the Plasm Network
The first page will allow you to select what network you want to create a new node in. You're going to select the Plasm network.
Configure your New Plasm Node
This steps allows you to enter the various settings that you want your node to be created with, you can enter a memorable name, and also change the node size and deployment location.
I'm going to give my node a simple name, and deploy it to Google Cloud Platform's Singapore region.
Lastly, I'm going to change the Node Specification. We strongly suggest following the recommended settings here if your node is going to be used for any production workloads - changing this settings could result in adverse behaviour across your network.
On the next screen you have a chance to review your new node, click Create Node to provision it. If you haven't already created a node, you'll be asked to enter your billing details - you can read more about this here.
Congratulations, now go and build your dApp!
Back on your Nodes list, you'll see your new node appear. It will take a few minutes to initialise but you can click on it to view its details.
